WELCOME!The Mill Race Folk Society, a not for profit organization, has promoted traditional folk music through concerts, dances, sing-arounds, tune playing sessions, and the Mill Race Festival of Traditional Music, since 1993. A volunteer board of directors manages the Society, and committees carry out operations. The Society receives financial support from corporate, private and public sponsors, but annual memberships, concert events, and the sale of Festival programmes and merchandise account for a large part of the Society's financial planning. Sing-arounds at The Mill Race Folk Club happen on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of most months, and Pub Sessions are held every second Sunday afternoon. Concerts occur throughout the year, with many on Friday evenings as "Folk @ The Cafe". See the Events page for more information. The 3-day Mill Race Festival takes place on the long weekend in August. The Mill Race Folk Society is a founding member of the Grand River Folk Community, formed in 2002 to promote co-operation between folk music associations in the area. The Mill Race Folk Society
