Dear Crafter:
The
Mill Race Folk Society of Cambridge, Ontario would like to invite you
to participate in our Outdoor Arts & Craft Show and Sale.
Of course there will also be the traditional showcase of
outstanding folk music and dance our community has come to expect.
The
festival is open to people who produce original works of art only. We
provide a space measuring 10’ X 10’ on pavement or grass. To
be part of the advertisement in the program you must register before
May 1, 2008.
There
is limited access for vehicles to drive right up to the display site
once the festival has begun. The arts and crafts portion of the
festival will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, to take advantage of
the Cambridge Farmers Market crowd,
and at 12 noon on Sunday.

A registration fee of $60.00 for Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday
- Registration
forms
will be accepted up until the day before the festival
- Exhibit
space is
assigned as registration is accepted
- Demonstrations
of
work are welcome
- Crafters are welcome
to stay after 6 p.m. each day but no later than 11:00 p.m. No
electricity is provided. There are nighttime activities around the
craft site.
Assortment
of arts and crafts that were exhibited and sold at the Festival in
the past are wooden instruments,
woodworking, paintings, photography,
Celtic scrolls, pottery,
stained glass, quilts, jewelry, clothing,
sheep wool products, children’s clothing and dried flowers.

CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION:
- Only original
works of art will be accepted. Photographs of artwork is to be
included with registration for 1st time registrants.
- All artists
selling work must provide their own Vendors Permit if applicable
- Approval of
registration will be confirmed by mail, e-mail or phone
- Registration
deadline is May 1, 2008 for inclusion in the program. However,
applications will be accepted after that date, as space is available
- Registration fee
of $60.00 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday to be
paid with registration and will be returned if
registration is not approved
- Registration fee
is nonrefundable
- Registration
includes advertisement in the Festival Program (if registered before
May)
- Registration time
on Friday August 1st is between 5 pm and 7 pm. Registration on Saturday
is between 7:30 and 8:30 am.
- Setup of displays
must be completed by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Exhibitors can
dismantle their displays anytime after 5:00 p.m. and no later than
11:00 p.m. on Sunday August 3rd.
- Hydro is NOT
available
- Exhibit size not
to exceed 10 feet by 10 feet
- Exhibitors are
responsible for their own sales
- Tables, chairs and
electricity are not provided
- The vendor must provide proof of
liability insurance before registration is accepted.
A Certificate of Insurance must contain the
following information:
1. The City of Cambridge should be listed as "additional insured"
2. Commercial General Liability should be $1,000,000.
3. Location of the event should be listed
4. Effective and Expiry dates of the insurance coverage listed
5. Name of Insurance Company and Signature of an Authorized Representative
6. Cancellation Clause indicates 30 days

damages that may be incurred by or be caused by breach of contract of
negligence. I also agree to abide by the above Conditions of
Registration.
